What “private” means here
- The property is enclosed by vegetation that acts as a natural privacy fence.
- Lake on one side, bird sanctuary next door; sandhill cranes, egrets and ibis wander through.
- Only two homes on the island, both ours. No shared walls, hallways or lobbies.
- Self check-in with a keypad. You will not see a front desk, and you will only see us if you want to.
What quiet does not mean
It does not mean remote. Siesta Key Beach is about 3 minutes away, downtown Sarasota about 7, and Myakka River State Park about 12. You can be as busy as you like during the day and still come back to nothing but the garden.
